HIKING

One of the favorite activities of our holiday makers is hiking. Several hiking routes are offered around the campsite. Here are a few examples. A complete folder with hiking routes in the Loire et Cher is available at the campsite reception.

BIKE RIDES

From the campsite you will find all kinds of bike tours. We are on the path of the Coeur de France à vélo, formerly ‘Cher à vélo’, a new itinerary perfect to discover or rediscover the region. This Coeur de France à Vélo itinerary officially starts in Tours, a good starting point to spend the night with us at the campsite. On one side the Cher, on the other side fields and woods and in front of you… the perfect holiday views!

You can rent your bikes on site at the campsite or in advance at our partner Loire Valley Cycling. They will bring the bikes to the campsite or to the place of departure of your bike tour. Patrick du Loire Valley Cycling is a great source of advice for itineraries and can also repair your bike in his workshop in Civray de Touraine, a few kilometres from the campsite.

THE CANOE

The base of Fréderic proposes various hikes on the Cher, starting from Montrichard, Chissay or Chisseaux for durations of one hour and a half, 3 hours or 5 hours. You will discover the various facets of the Cher river along the water, its historical heritage with the medieval city of Montrichard, the castle of Chissay, the lively banks of Chisseaux and of course the pearl: the castle of Chenonceau, constructed over the width river. You can also go horse riding, go to the Montrichard swimming pool with its spa, go pedal boating or paddle in the Cher from the Montrichard beach or go jogging from the campsite. Everything you need to stay in shape and have fun!
